I often ask for couples to book a second photographer with their wedding photography package. The option to add an additional person to the team will always be made available, and highly encouraged for weddings with photo coverage that exceeds 7 hours.
Super 8 videography
Album creation. You may hire me to make one, or you can make your own from your online gallery link.

Super 8 is a documentary-style videography format that was popular for home movies from the 1960s to the 1980s; unlike digital video, which uses electronic memory cards to capture images, Super 8 uses actual film. Super 8 videography has a distinctive look, often described as nostalgic. Picture the vintage look of your parents’ or grandparents’ home movies.
Super 8 tends to have a softer, more muted quality compared to the crispness of modern digital video. The colors can be quite vibrant, but the images are a bit softer compared to today's high-definition standards.
I will digitize your Super 8 film so you can watch it on your TV, tablet, phone, or any other digital device.
Super 8 videography is a cost-effective, creative, and unique way to add a personal flare to your wedding content and memories.

An engagement session is highly beneficial as it helps you get comfortable in front of the camera, builds rapport between you and your wedding photographer, and captures your unique love story. It’s also a great opportunity for personalized save-the-date photos that add a special touch to your wedding announcements. Additionally, an engagement session helps us explore different settings and prompts, and have fun, ensuring you are relaxed and well-prepared for your wedding day. Overall, it’s a fantastic way to enhance your wedding experience and create cherished memories.

For smaller weddings or photo coverage less than 8 hours, a second photographer is not required. I highly encourage couples to add a second photographer to longer or more elaborate wedding days, as this ensures each portion of the day is captured without cramming too much into a chaotic timeline. If you choose to add Super 8 videography, I do require adding a second photographer to your package.
On wedding days, I take pride in being a quiet observer, weaving into the fabric of the celebration without disrupting your day. I don’t pull people out of the moment to pose or interfere with the energy on the dance floor. Instead, I document the love, laughter, and tears of your wedding without getting in the way of the precious moments that happen all on their own. Each wedding is a story unfolding, with its own love, commitment, and connection; no prompt or pose I try to put you in can possibly match the authenticity that you and your partner bring to your day. That’s what makes your wedding all about you!
I build a strong connection with you before your wedding. In your complimentary engagement photo session—included with all wedding packages—we will work together before your big day so you’ll have a chance to really get to know me and how I work. I will help you feel so comfortable, you may forget that I’m even there taking pictures!
Whether your vision is for a large Denver wedding, a small micro-wedding on your family’s property, or an intimate elopement in the mountains of Colorado, Ascent Photo & Video will ensure that your wedding story is beautifully and authentically told.
